Being working into Siebel CRM I have came across many architectures - good ones, bad ones, moderate ones. I sometime think, Why even biggest of the companies sometimes make mistake with their CRM architecture? Are they lacking skills or their requirments are not clear? What goals do they have in long terms and how are they thinking of expanding?
These are few key things that company must visualize before thinking of just an implementation. Companies who deployed Siebel with correct approach and correct architecture are happy enought to go long long way.... So, why not have a better architecture as per extending requirments. Its always better to see just beyond limits.
'Expert Services' are doing their job sizing up and suggesting correct Architecture. I would always recommend any organization to have their review conducted with Siebel Expert Services and they carry forward.
Cost which companies pays off in the beginning is far far less that they have to sustain anywhere in future. Have a smart planning, good architecture and go long way.....
